How do you get midi from your guitar into Sonar?

My GR33 just died. Worked well for many years to get my guitar playing into Sonar via midi. Just wondering what others are using now to translate their guitar into midi. I know I can do this with Melodyne, but something about using my Godin to create midi that still appeals to me. Thanks in advance...
