Anybody own a Tascam TM-D8000?

So I have a chance to get one of these behemoths pretty cheap. I want to know if anyone has gotten it to work as a control surface. I know Sonar Platinum has very deep MTC/MMC capabilities. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it before I fork over any money. Thanks for any advice!..

What Audio Interfaces are everyone using with Cakewalk and Sonar and are you satisfied?

I'm using Roland Studio Capture 1610 and it has many inputs, and works great most of the time.
