How to use Focusrite VRM with windows whilst recording.

The only way I seem to be able to use it is if I go into the windows audio settings and use VRM box as default, and then choose VRM in Sonar. Problem arises though in that the VRM can only listen to 44100 sample rate. Does anyone use the VRM for mixing or recording? If so, how do you have it set up?..

High Gain AI's?

As I've posted in the other forum, my new M-audio M-Track 2x2 has very low gain. I have to run it virtually all the way to get the LED's to bump past -20db and confirmed in Sonar. Do other brands have a better gain structure? I have tried many sources, Condenser Mic, Ipod full output, Guitar, Modeli..

Two Independent cursors with two mice

Is it possible to extend the display over to a second monitor and have an independent cursor on that second monitor that's controlled by a second mouse?..

External Meter Bridge (my solution)

So, I would really like a pair of physical Dorrough meters. I was thinking I'd feed them with a pair of outs separate from my monitors, so they would not be affected by the volume knob on my Apollo. However, we're talking like $300 to pick up a pair used. So I got to thinking... I love Waves Dorroug..

AEA Microphone Shootout

I just completed an evaluation of some AEA mics and thought you guys might be interested in my (very biased) opinions about them. I also used an AEA RPQ preamp for these comparisons. maschine mk 2 or studio

I have a maschine mk2 on order, and have the option still of getting the studio instead for approx $550 AUD more, I am unsure how much I will use it, as have not had the opportunity to hands on try them. The reason for purchase is decent set of drum pads, transport control, and the extra eight knobs..

I'm about to upgrade audio interface(s) to most likely the MOTU AVB series (1248, 8M), but these units do not come with MIDI ports anymore.
