I just bought a cello!

Well, since I'm rarely around here any more, I might as well steal the whole first page for a change, eh? lol Anyway, I saw a young man play the bass at a concert the other night...which he did quite well...and he was surprised anyone (and probably especially I?) noticed....then picked up the cello ..

Video from my band's first ever gig!

Actually, the first ever gig any of us have played except our drummer. It was a complete blast! We're just a weekend garage band so nothing real refined here, just a bunch of raw classic rock and blues... it was a little dive bar but we packed it with about 75 people which was about the most it coul..

Is it just me getting wound up by this "TEAM GB" bollocks at the Olympics?

We're Great Britain, or the British Team, or even the Great British Team. "Team GB" is lazy. It's also trying far too hard to be a trendy 'buzz-word' type thang in my opinion. Are we actually called that now - officially like? I suggest not, as the footie scoreboard abbreviates us (correctly) to GBR..
