Unable to install Adobe Flash updates due to blank download manager? Do this...

For the past couple months I have been unable to install Flash player updates. Every time I tried once I got to the Adobe Download Manager phase (where that little window pops up and the update downloads) the dl manager would be blank. No way around it.
