Cool Gain-Staging Technique

What does Windows Media Player "WOW" do?

I just stumbled on that option in Media Player. It seems to do some dynamic mastering. I makes quite a difference on the recordings I played, but I can't really hear what it is doing. Too quiet at Main out - what to do?

Frozen Tracks/Final Mix
