MASSIVE copies when using snip edit

Every time I use the scissors to edit, 100s of snippets are added to the track. Last time brought my project to a complete halt. Very embarrassing with the client looking over my shoulder while I delete gigs of trash.
Any ideas how to stop this?

If your .sig is correct consider applying the X3e update.
It sounds like a problem similar to having "Slide Over Old to Make Room" enabled in Preferences > Customization > Editing but it usually takes moving a clip to experience the bug.

There isn't a tool in Sonar called "scissor". Do you mean splitting, as in splitting clips ? and what are snippets ? Audio clips ?
Each time you split a clip in Sonar, it is done non destructively (meaning the audio clip retains its original value)
This is for "Slip editing" purposes.

After you split a clip, Bounce to clips. this will shorten the file to what you see in the TV.
