M-Audio Delta series driver

Hi folks, thanks for all the info you folks post here. I recently built a new PC when my old machine died and had the same problem I did with my old PC and my M-Audio Delta card with the updated driver from the M-Audio site. Actually a lesson I had to learn more than once.

On both PC's none of the drivers on their site has ever fully worked in ASIO. Currently the only driver they have listed for XP service pack 3 is 50.57.   It loads up OK and the control panel appears to be working but no ASIO support in applications.  I'm not sure where I got the drivers but to make a long story short, the only driver I have ever tried that is fully funtional is the 50.74 driver. Luckily I had it backed up and remembered the same thing happened on my last PC.

The 50.74 is a great driver and served me well last few years but I'm wondering if any one else had the same problem with M-Audio delta drivers. I have never had any success with any of their drivers on their support page. I thought it may have been a unique problem to my old system but that's two different PCs with the exact problem.

If you are a Delta owner and having ASIO issues, try the 50.74 driver. I'm also kind of wondering if anyone ever got their recomended 50.57 driver working?

in sonar, make sure you have unticked your onboard card thats on the mobo or anything else that isn't the delta , inputs / outputs wise.

have you also left your onboard card as ya windows default card ?

the other option is enable sharing  , again in prefs.. not installed my 1010LT on my i7 yet.

    what delta is it though?

Same here, delta 1010LT but I noticed the same 50.57 is recommended for the standard 1010.
Onboard audio disabled in bios. 1010 set up as primary audio in Windows. ASIO driver working but I'm getting crashes on my Liquid mix and powercore. I'm pretty sure it's the ASIO driver causing it.
I just discovered the video card I have, nVidia GF 210, has some kind of HD audio device, in fact several entries in the device manager for it. I'm pretty sure it's causing some havoc. New video card will be here tomorrow. I'll know more then. Thanks.
