I just wanted to bump this once so people see it. I know there's a lot of FTU users here.

Another FTU user here so thanks! It would have been nice to get an e-mail from Avid. Have you installed it yet and noticed any improvements?

The only problems I have with my FTU is that I can't run it with my wireless adapter enabled and the applet always crashes when I open up something like CD Architect. I had a heck of a time getting it installed initially until I finally found that I had to de-select High Performance Mode and disable my wireless adapater then it was fine from there on.

There is a comment on their forum that the new driver removes the High Performance mode.  For this reason, I have the new download but am not installing it as I haven't had any problems with the old driver.

Allows you to run the unit at a 64-sample ASIO buffer size... and yields 5.5ms total round-trip latency.

Dumbing down the drivers isn't the answer.
    Educating end-users is the solution.
High-performance mode isn't compatible with all configurations (especially laptops with higher end video)
The majority of FTU/8R users don't have a problem with high-performance mode.
Removing it is just plain... stupid.
Low RTL is a very unique feature in (relatively speaking) lower cost USB audio interfaces.
I've never had a problem with the previous drivers.  Played many 4-hour gigs... running the FTU8R at a 64-sample ASIO buffer size.
    Not one single glitch/hiccup/etc...

    Best Regards,

I had loads of problems with the drivers to start with and I'm weary of trying this one out tbh!
I think I will hold off checking it out until I see some feedback.

Cheers for the notice though, better than Avid.
