    Hey Dude,

I just happened across your post and thought I would send you to this... Mix Online Review of the CX8.

That review is before the big price drops on the CX monitors. Word is, they are being discontinued thus the price drop. But I cannot confirm that as I didn't talk to M-audio directly. My info comes from AudioMidi.com The salesman at audiomidi also figured M-audio was discontinuing them because, once someone has that much money to spend on a set of monitors, they tend go with a more "famous" brand.

Anyway, according to the review, the JBL 2328P is a better buy due to something with the mids, BUT that was BEFORE the price drop. Bobby didn't say anything about making any adjustments to the controls in the back though. PERHAPS if he did, he would change his mind. With the price drop though, imho, it was a no brainer compared to the JBLs.

ALSO, if you are doing ANY music that is low end heavy, go with the 8" woofer over a 5" no matter what brand you buy. Unless of course, you will be getting a sub in the near future.

    Good Luck,

    Rob

    Hey guitar hacker,

I checked out your site and dude, you have some good music. I like this music more then I play it. I play more rock, hard rock and metal but I have a few songs that fit this style. I liked MANY of your songs but... "In a World Without You" is friggin awesome.

The only thing that bothered me was... the vocal sound like it wasn't recorded with the "choice" microphone or not EQd properly. Her voice sound a tad over compressed and tunneled when she first came in. I would expect to hear that vocal softer and have a bit more air for lack of a better word. I can tell she has a good voice too, I just can't hear it well enough, imho.

Nice work though dude, I am impressed!!

    Rob

BTW, I have the M-Audio CX8 speakers and they are quite good imho.
