MC5 Doesn't recognize connected guitar

Hi all,

I have my guitar hooked up to my computer via a Cakewalk UA-1G USB Audio Interface.  I have my headphones plugged into the interface and can hear the electrified sound just fine.  However, MC5 doesn't seem to be recognized the sound when I'm recording, and just records a flatline.  Any ideas as to what could be going on here?  The fact that I can hear my guitar through my phones leads me to think that at least something is working correctly...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Adam

Did you set the input on the track?

Have you armed an audio track and selected the UA-1G as the input?

And have you checked that there really is nothing recorded (nothing to play back)? Sometimes the clip shows only flatline even when audio is there. The cure to that is deleting the contents of the Picture Cache folder.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
