MC5 HELP - Program changing my music!

Hello again, I have another problem I need help with and yall were so helpful before I decided to come back. I am running MC5 on a Dell with Windows 7. I have been creating pretty simple midi patterns so far (House/Electronica type stuff) but I keep on encountering a certain issue. If I use certain tones or create certain patterns (especially bass tones) the system seems to "take over" and literally starts creating and adding notes and tones of it's own ... almost like an automation of some sort. I can't see any changes being made to the visual representation of the music, I simply just hear it. It generally goes like this: I lay a pattern or two out, hit the playback button, run through it 3-4 times, and then usually by the 4-5 time it kicks in and takes over. It will stay locked like that until I shut the program down and restart it. Can anyone help me? If there is any way to toggle that off that would be great, I would love to get back to the freedom of my music.

What is your signal chain - what soundcard and driver mode?

What do you use to play the MIDI-loops (ie. what is making the sound)?
Many soft synths have looping functions.
Or are you using a delay-type FX that can kick in very late?

Sound card issue. I'll wager that you are using the soundcard built in to the computer at the factory.

You will need a USB external audio/midi interface running native ASIO drivers..... life will be good and the issues will go away.

Yup I sadly have been trying to make it happen with all the factory specs (soundcard, drivers, etc.). I suppose I was being hopeful :) I should of known better, thank you both though.

Look for a USB music interface (external sound card) which supports ASIO and that issue goes away.
