    Well, you don't use it "with" MC5.....  use it as a stand alone. Export the tune from MC to a folder on the desktop and then open that file with LAME. 

    I think Beagle knows how to make it available from inside MC5 in the menu..... but I just use my wave editor as a stand alone.

    Thanks but i already do that. i was just wondering if there was an easier way to encode my songs to mp3.

    Well, you could pay the license fee to cakewalk to activate the built in MP3 converter. Then you could export straight from MC5 as an MP3.... 

    That would be the easiest to do, not extra steps needed.

    I am not in such a rush that I can't take a few minutes to do the editing in a stand alone converter/editor.

    You can't use LAME from inside MC5.  MC4 and below used to be able to do that, but they changed the menus with MC5 and changed it even more with MC6 and that tool is not available for those versions.
