MC6 and Instant Pop Star

Curiosity got the better of me and I bought the discounted Instant PopStar Indie Kit.  I've unzipped it to a folder but when I follow the instuctions to open a new project, navigate to the template folder, set the “Files of Type” to “Template” etc.  I don't see any files.  I can see them via windows explorer but not via MC6, the folders all show up empty.  ??  It doesn't appear to need a serial to install or have an install file/exe and my account/product details on the Cakewalk site doesn't list a serial either.

I have a older version of Instant Popstar that came with MC5LE. My Instant Popstar folder was installed here: C:\_Instant Popstar I actually copied this folder and put it here: My Documents\Cakewalk\Music Creator 5\Sample Content\ This where MC(5)looks for .cwt template files. Maybe try that and see if it helps.

I'm not sure if it's in MC6 or in X1...since I have both and recently added them both to my DAW....probably in X1...because.....

The other day I was poking around in X1 and came across some folders of loops.... and the loops were audio loops of music classified as verses, bridges, choruses and fills and other stuff IIRC. I clicked on a few to listen and it was entire sections of songs that one could string together in the tracks and create a complete song with no musical experience needed. Pretty cool stuff for non players to use X1.

It looks like IPS is similar to that.

I have the Instant Pop Star packages, or at least I downloaded them at one time and now I can't find them.  I'll try looking again.

I am fairly sure that you must put them here:

    C:\Cakewalk Content\Audio Library\Song Construction Kits

Or at least that's what worked for me.  They do not have installers and they do not need any serial numbers.  I couldn't find them at first either......
