MCU Record Enable "Challenge"
Has anyone else had this problem? The first channel will not record enable on the MCU. If switched to the next bank (then channel 9), it still doesn't enable. Checking things in MIDIOx shows activity when the button is pressed so I know it's not a MIDI issue and I believe this trouble started when originally fiddling around with BFC2000 setups. My thinking is that it is a Sonar or PC MIDI not receiving issue and it applies only to this one button. Any ideas all you experts out there??? I presume I may need to reload a driver or a specific config?? Thanks!

Yep, thanks Duo... it's in Universal mode alrighty. I'm pretty sure it's a software issue with the poota but don't want the grief of reinstalling everything to get rid of a minor problem like this. Thanks though because I hadn't seen that PDF before. I only got a very basic sheet with the unit. Cheers!

I've got a doozy of a question here I have a Presonus Faderport (single channel motorized fader and transport controller) this works really well and is robust and sturdy It sets up well in sonar...but.... when I use the channel select keys... to go from channel to channel it won't 'scroll' the Mixer [ when it gets to the end of the 'line' for example if my LCD monitor shows 15 [.... but I have 24 [ in my project... once I've 'scrrolled along to track 15.... all subsequent movement of the channel selection goes on 'behind' where you can't see.... the faderport controller does indeed scroll along to the last track (you can see it happening in the project window) but it won't move the mixer window along to visually correspond In Cubase SX (on the same computer) it DOES move the window along... so for instance if you had 36 [ and only 15 can be seem at one time in the monitor... if you scroll along to track 36 with the Faderport... the screen action follows all the way - with the selected track being seen at all times 1. Has anyone else come across this issue with fader controllers and SONAR (8)? Is there a fix? Question 2: Anyone out there using any 8 channel fader control surfaces with sonar? Like the Behringer BFC200, Mackie MCU pro, M-audio Project mix, Tascam US2400? preferably for this question using multiple linked units or sidecar 'extensions' If your LCD monitor screen (as above) will only show say....11 tracks and you hit track 15 on the control surface... does the mix window in sonar visually skip to track 16? I really wanna know the answer to this Plastic Bird

Hiya Bird... thinking about it, I cannot recall the screen updating to the location you select on the surface... will have to look at that next time in the studio... hopefully tonight, but I don't remember it doing that to be honest. Regarding Q2, I have used the BFC, the MCU and also the Fostex VM (as a surface+pre's) and am now using the 700C... will check if the screen updates as mentioned.... I now too really wanna know. Have only used 8.5 though under MCU and the 700R. Someone else will prolly respond before I can as I am not in front of Sonar right now. Cheers.

OK, just tried it and it the console view does indicate changes but does not 'go to' that selected channel. I'm using pretty wide screens so haven't found it to be an issue I must admit and with the 700C, I'm actually rarely looking to the console view I must also admit which is a really cool thing I have to say... Hope this helps.
