MCU and 8.5.3 question

I am running an MCU and one extender with 8.5.3. and everything works flawlessly.

I have a friend who is also running the exact same setup except that he has two extenders.  From left to right he has his control surfaces in this order,  - Extender 1 - Extender 2 - MCU.  The problem he's experiencing is when he hides all the tracks (in TV) except one he's working on, that track moves to the first fader of Extender1.  No other tracks show up on his controllers, When he switches back to all tracks (in TV) the faders all come back up and appear just as they should.  Ex: Let's say the bass is on track 14. When he hides all tracks except 14, fader 1 on Extender 1 becomes the bass track and all other faders go down all the way.

When I hide all on the tracks except one (or two or three, etc.), on my system, all the faders remain just as they are when I have all tracks showing in TV.  IOW, my control surface faders, strip names, status etc. do not change.

He would like his controllers to function the same as mine.

Any ideas?
