MDynamicEQ and MAutoVolume 50% off
The next three Meldaproductions products to be offered for half-price (for three days): MDynamicEQ, MAutoVolume and MMultibandDistortion. Three of my favorites! Prices will be $43, $34 and $27 respectively. The order page hasn't yet been updated at the time of this posting, but these were announced today on kvr: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=412819 (scroll down to the last post).

Hey Bit, Looks like MAutoVolume is similar to Waves Vocal Rider/Bass Rider - is that an accurate statement?

I really like autovolume it is really handy on bass and even vocals sometimes. The price is pretty good and the midi write feature is what I like the most.

Yes, it's functionally comparable to Waves Vocal Rider, but with additional capabilities such as M/S processing and EBU loudness detection. And free upgrades for life. Plus no WUP, no C/R authorization, blah blah blah - you know my feelings about Waves. I haven't checked the Waves price lately, but unless they've finally come to their senses on pricing you can buy all three of these Melda plugins for less than VR alone.

I do know your feelings on Waves ;) I have vocal rider, so I was trying to determine if it was worth picking this up as well... I do not have bass rider, for example.

bitflipper, on a scale of 1-5, how much more useful do you think the Auto version of MDynamic EQ is in comparision?

Personally, I'd give it a 2 on a scale of 1 to 5 in terms of usefulness. But it really depends on whether or not you need the spectrum-matching feature, as that's the only real difference between the two plugins. Some people don't need it, some think it's snake-oil voodoo, some depend on it for their livelihood. For myself, I do use it but not that often. MDynamicEQ, OTOH, is my first-call go-to EQ for critical tracks such as vocals, and for busses. It gets used in every project.

After purchasing the "Free" bundle and convolution reverb, I started saving for the total bundle. It is the best value if you have the discipline to save and buy the bundle at one of the 50% off sales. All future updates and new plug-ins are free.
