MF STOTD...the endless trek

I recently picked up Izotope's Trash 2 when it was a Musician's Friend Stupid Deal of the Day.  This, of course, is something that I simply could've been emailed a serial number, downloaded and installed in minutes if not hours.  But no, as part of the "deal" it must be shipped.  So far, at 4 days and counting, it has winded it's way from Kansas City, MO to Bensonville, IL and on to LaVergne, TN.  All this by way of UPS. However, at LaVergne it has been handed over to the United States Postal Service for it's final (?) leg of the trek all the way to Little Rock, AR. There is, as yet, no guesstimate on it's date of arrival in our fair city.  But I'd bet you a dime to a donut that when it gets here it will simply be a box with a serial number inside and nothing more.

As a side note, anything I order from sweetwater which ships free gets here in three days.  Sheesh.

Was wondering if anyone here can answer, why are the major carriers handing off packages to the stupid postal system???
We all know how much longer it takes them to deliver a package to someone:)

I will for one be glad when someone invents transporter technology and I can get my G.A.S quickly LOL:)

I'm not sure why MF wastes so much money, time, and unnecessary stress in shipping these items rather than via using a simple (free) email system.

For example in the past few years, I've bought a bunch of software instruments from MF for myself as well as others in Europe (avoiding the shipping), and each one of those licenses were shipped in a DVD case with only the serials/registration info inside (printed on cardboard flyer).

Easily, this could've saved time & money by just emailing this to me/others.......I'm sure there's a (i)logical answer to this......I just don't know what it is.

Hi,

I ordered some rhubarb with vanilla on it, for my toast! Hasn't arrived yet! Must be UPS' fault!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

ol pal, I feel your pain man.

Please clarify your emotions though.

1. Are you frustrated because you want it, and you want it now?

2. Are you frustrated because the mode and model of delivery is wasteful and seemingly inefficient?

3. Are you frustrated because life is a biotch?

I have some recommendations for you.

1. Talk to the misses, and see if she wants to celebrate your birthday again.

2. Read the manual for your toy, and you can hit the ground running when it arrives.

3. I forgot #3, but it was a good one too.

4. Stir up a batch of martini, and listen to the birds sing.

These other cats, with their transporters and such seem to be missing the point, or maybe it's me....again.

Peace ol pal

I bought Ohmicide from MF on sale a couple of years ago and it was shipped to me in a VHS cassette sized box containing a small piece of paper with the serial number. I honestly thought it was some kind of sick joke and my estimation of them sunk to almost nil. The only theory I could come up with is that they have a deal with the post office to create extra work for them in this modern age of email. Just complete and utter stupidity.

Just checked my MF tracking number and it says "information regarding shipment received, Little Rock". Then it lists a USPS delivery confirmation number. Of course, nothing has been delivered yet. So don't know whether to be worried or not. Will see what tomorrow brings.
