"...This team includes the likes of Craig Anderton, Executive Vice President, Evangelist at Gibson..." I have a springline reverb in my studio I built myself around a reverb tank I liked the tone of. I downloaded the circuit schematics from the internet, designed by ...Craig Anderton. Multiple magazine articles if you care to open your favorite search engine by ...Craig Anderton. I only just threw out Guitar Player magazine where, on the back page, was a reproduction of an old advert from way back when for a book on studio recording by ...Craig Anderton. (I wish I'd scanned it ... dang) Respects.

It looks like this is a new look for the old MIDI Manufacturer's Association, which now redirects here. The old site was somewhat less than useful to most people, as the thrust was about how to bring your product into compliance by buying an expensive copy of the published standard. This looks like they are trying to actually be helpful to users.

The old site was somewhat less than useful to most people, as the thrust was about how to bring your product into compliance by buying an expensive copy of the published standard. This looks like they are trying to actually be helpful to users. A little background...I've been active with the organization since it was first discussed, so I know what's going on. The MMA is for manufacturers, TMA is for those who use MIDI in any context. There is a LOT happening with MIDI. With MIDI becoming part of Android, by the end of the year there will be 2.6 billion (with a "b") devices with MIDI capabilities. There's also web MIDI and several other initiatives, including MIDI over Bluetooth, MPE (MIDI Performance Enhancements, which basically takes the whole articulation thing much further), and more. TMA anticipates that a lot of people will be exposed to MIDI for the first time in the months ahead, and that there needs to be a place where they can get up to speed. Of course, part of why I'm involved is because of the importance of MIDI to SONAR, but Henry Juszkiewicz (Gibson CEO) has been a long-time supporter of the MMA and of standards that benefit the consumer in general, so I'm also there to represent Gibson as well as contribute expertise. I appreciate that this thread was posted. I know it's not SONAR-exclusive, but I hope it sticks around for a while and people sign up. In numbers there is strength

I am very Happy that you all liked it!! I think with the strong foothold of VSTi at present the power of PC increasing day by day MIDI need not be restricted to 16 channels. The DAWs would also accommodate them to have control over more MIDI enabled devices connected to that [virtual midi cable built in]. Regards Snehankur
