MIDI Controller/Control Surfaces

I just finished setting up my Axiom61 midi controller, but I have to press the transport buttons twice for them to work. 

Could anyone help with this?

    Maybe it send 2 different control messages, like "1" and "0", every other time?

    I had this behaviour with a novation controller I had.

    Sonar 8.5.3 x64 on Windows 7 ~ C2Q9550 ~ 4GB RAM
