MIDI Note End problems

I'm having an issue where MIDI notes aren't receiving the proper note end signal and continuing to play even after I've stopped playback, and even when I'm playing my keyboard controller sometimes.  It seems like it's been happening more and more lately, but that may just be my annoyance level rising.   It's not a huge issue, but I would like to correct it.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any tips on how to get the MIDI to cooperate?

Are you inserting soft synths in FX bins? That tends to cause problems with note offs. It's preferred to insert them in the Synth Rack and bring their output into the track via the track's Input assignment rather than via the FX bin.

I'm using Platinum.  I usually insert the synth through the Synth Rack but I just let it create a simple instrument track.  Should I create the tracks and manually assign the input/output?

Shouldn't make any difference. I always insert synths through the synth rack and let Sonar take care of my IO

What I WOULD try is to use a split audio/midi track, see if that helps.

What is your MIDI playback "prepare using" buffer set to?  If set to 250 or less, try increasing it
