MIDI PATCHBAY

Hello everybody,
 
As many of you, I need to have operative many MIDI DEVICES connections.
For that reason I´ve bought 2 units of the MIDISPORT 4x4. (M-Audio)
 
I went to M-Audio web and downloaded the latest drivers compatible with my W8.1 - 64bits.
 
The problem is the following:
 
Although I can see both devices at the DEVICE MANAGER SCREEN (both are located at the right root) it is not possible to see them once I am in SONAR PLATINUM. (YES... I´ve checked in the right place: EDIT >> PREFERENCES >> MIDI DEVICES)
 
I have installed and cleaned up many times but nothing. (Einstein was right... I must do something different if I want diferent results...) but to be honest, I have no clue what to do.
 
CAKEWALK TECH service did not succeed with the explanations. I was very lucky and had the chance to talk to them but nothing. They will check, they said.
Neither at this forum I found nothing.
 
SUMMARIZING:
I have W8.1 and need to connect 8 midi devices (in/out) to SONAR PLATINUM.
The patchbays are 2 units of the M-AUDIO MIDISPORT 4x4.
 
Did anybody have the same problems to connect those devices?
How was solved the issue?
Suggestions are welcome.

ps: I am not a english native speaker, so the simplest language the best for me to understand.

    It seems the MIDISPORT drivers can be sensitive to installation sequence and changing USB ports.
     
    Try this (from http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2872035):
     
    "My experience with MIDISport is that the driver may have to be installed more than once and the installation has a specific sequence of event, i.e., start installation software with device attached, unattached device, continue with software install, connect device, etc.  Further, the MIDIsport must be used in the same port which was used at the time of installation.  The MIDISport will not be recognized if you install using one port then later connect it in a different port."

    SONAR Platinum x64, 2x MOTU 2408/PCIe-424  (24-bit, 48kHz)

    If you have used lots of MIDI I/O over the years, this article may be helpful as well. I don't know if the issue has been resolved in Windows 10, but it was a problem with Windows 7 and I think it still existed in Windows 8.
