MIDI Split

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd bring this up, since it's something that has helped me heaps in the past.

It would be great to have a feature that could create new tracks out of a MIDI sequence/Piano roll for each pitch.
Something similar to Logic's 'Split MIDI region by note pitch'.

I found this to be a very easy way to edit drum beats, replace certain parts, or use different instruments for different pitches. Also to double specific melodies/harmonies/drum beats without the need of copying and pasting notes.

Just a way of speeding up the workflow.

Cheers.

Something like the CAL script "Split Note to Tracks" included with SONAR?

    Yes, exactly like that!

I just thought it would be easier to have a more intuitive, ready to go option right off the menu rather than running the script. Also, sometimes I get errors while splitting in the first couple of notes (they don't get copied). Further, in order to undo the split a simple Ctrl+Z doesn't work, given that there are so many steps to it.
