MIDI data suddenly won't play

Okay here's a weird one I'm using EZ player pro + NI modern drums. My drumbeat is playing fine, I grab a drum fill from my fills folder, drag to time line and it won't play. I go to piano roll view, the clip is there, not muted, plenty of velocity, right notes, but no sound. I can start a new project, same conditions, same fills, and they play fine. What the heck is going on?

Is input echo enabled?

All you need to do is go through the chain to see if everythnig is ok

Jonesy and Pwal have  asked if you have checked if the mute MIDI clip is on the same channel as the audible ones, that's what Jonesy meant with the echo...echoing Pwals question.
Right click on one of the notes and check its properties.

I don't know how one clip could be on a different channel, but it definately needs to be checked, because the problem is a bit strange.

Good suggestion! That's why I ask questions from people that are smarter than me. I'll try that when I get back to my workstation tonight, and hopefully we'll have a happy ending to this mystery. Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone. Turns out it was a MIDI channel problem. The working clips notes were on channel 1 and the non-working were on channel 10. I thought that If I had the track set for MIDI OMNI they all would play, that's usually the case, but not this time. EZ is still being buggy though, because it's never done this before and it's suddenly playing or not playing MIDI data in my libraries at its own whim. I'm basically just a guitar player who's eyes glaze over when the discussion turns to MIDI channels, RPN's and NRPN's etc. I guess I'm going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming to learn more about the, pardon the pun, in's and out's of MIDI. Can someone recommend a good source for getting a better understanding on MIDI? Thanks to everyone again!
