MIDI events triggering AD2 in PRV most of the time... but somethings not. Help?

I’ve recorded a MIDI performance with a Roland digital drum kit, and the MIDI events are triggering the kit pieces in addictive drums 2 as expected... most of the time. I can see all the MIDI events in the PRV, where everything looks normal. AD 2 generally plays as it should, based on the MIDI events.

But... Intermittently, a MIDI note doesn’t trigger its corresponding kit piece (say, the snare drum). I can watch the timeline track along the MIDI events, triggering the corresponding kit pieces, but out of the blue, a Midi event or two or three won’t trigger its kit piece on one pass. I can stop, replay that passage, and it MIGHT play as expected. But sometimes, it won't, and I end up with a MIDI note that once played its kit piece fine, won't play it anymore. I delete the MIDI note in PRV it and copy/paste the MIDI note that preceded it into its place and it will play again.

I can’t figure out why this is happening. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried increasing the "Prepare using" option in the Preferences | MIDI | Playback and Recording options?

The default value for this is 250 however, I find a value of 500 works well.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been looking at that area wondering if that might help. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks again.
