MIDI guitar & XP1 synths?

Hi, Is it possible to input my guitar rig (GX3, VG99, GR33) into my Gateway running Sonar XP1 with a VS 100 control surface?  Could I trigger the sounds of Din-pro and other synths to record in place of my MIDI keyboard?   Any thoughts, tips?   BTW.... Sonar XP1 is great..... upgraded from SP 8.5.3......  just going thru the $49 training vids..... no issues so far.... I really like it!!!!

Why not?  I'm assuming those are Roland midi-guitar interfaces, right?  I use a Roland GK-3 with a Yamaha G-50 through an EMU midix midi-USB for everything.  Works fine.

The easiest way would be to use the MIDI out function on the VG-99 to send MIDI data to your PC via USB straight into X1 (and any synth plugins you might have). I did it once on Sonar 8 - it worked.
