MIDI step generator input no go

...I've only had this after upgrading to the latest version.

All MIDI communication between my Axiom controller and RAPTURE is fine, my usual fader set-ups, everything works just dandy.

BUT, the Step generator MIDI input (I know, accessible only while using the PITCH SG) shows up in the right-click context menu, but after selecting it, the SG does nothing. I've tried starting in every octave on my keyboard, but no dice. Any one with any ideas? I used it in prior versions without incident, and, like I said, the MIDI communication is working no problem. you would think if Rapture was recognizing note ON/OFF commands, these would be the ones for the SG input. It's like the menu command no longer works.

thanks, jgirv

I believe that you're right. I haven't used the MIDI Note Entry command since 1.2 introduced the .sg feature. After some quick testing, I'm getting the same results that you've mentioned. I'm going to log a problem report. I think that I have a general idea of how this may have come about.

[Cakewalk] was listening. Rapture 1.2.1 Hotfix found here.

A hotfix is available for Rapture that addresses the following issues:
    - In some cases an undesired buzzing would occur with factory wavetables in lower octaves
    - MIDI note entry issue in Step Generator
    - SFZ 'default_path' opcode behavior
