MIXDOWN AUDIO HELP!!!!

Hi, I'm new to this music world. I'm using cakewalk 9.0 pro audio. I tried to mixdown audio tracks and it worked, however, the volume of the result (mp3) is not as the same "loudness" as i playback in Cakewalk. The mp3 I created is not as loud. I'm using M-Audio Pre amp as the audio interface. Is there settings I need to make in Cakewalk to produce the same quality and same level of loudness in playback and mp3? It will be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me out on this.

Thanks.

Al

Usually that is a problem between the output levels and the track levels, also it could be that you need to add some light compression, and master limiting. Or it could be the process of the conversion to MP3.

try mixing down in real time to a new track and adjust the input volume on that track

add a compressor in the aux buss

and a master limiter in the main buss

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
