I use the 24io as my main interface. I have had many years of reliable performance and great sound quality. Now for the drawbacks. The only sync you have on it is a word clock port. There is no phantom power, there is no MIDI, no SPDIF, and all inputs and outputs are TRS guitar type plugins. It works best for me and seems designed for being used on the tape inserts on a mixer. If you set it up that way you will find it to be a wonderful piece of gear. I come from an old school background of 4, 8, 16, 24, and 48 track analog tape. Putting a 24io in the analog machines place has been a godsend for me. I say hands down if you intend to use it with a mixer on the inserts it is the best money you will ever spend. BTW, I have 3 Adats that I use for location recording. The BRC controller has a word clock port on it so it is dead easy to record on location with the Adats and then dump the tracks from the Adats to Sonar. I hope your experience with yours is as good as mine has been. It has never given me one bit of problem.
