MOTU 828Mkll

Hello
I'm using the MOTU 828Mkll
Do you have to uninstall the older drivers first or does the installer on the new drivers take care of that.

    It should not be necessary to uninstall the older drivers. However, I would recommend making copies of the old files before updating them. I once updated my drivers only to find that the new version was unstable. It totally broke me because the previous versions were unavailable from MOTU. Luckily, another forum member bailed me out and provided the older versions. The files you need to back up are motubus.sys and motufwa.sys (usb and firewire, respectively).


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
