MP3 codec

hello i am using Music Creator 5, and i downloaded the Lame free codec for converting files to MP3. There is no option for Tools > Export codecs in MC5 that i can see..so where do i put the Lame files so that MC5 will be able to use them? thanks Jason

I've never done MP3, but my guess is you export to wav first, then use the Lame. I doubt MC can use Lame in any way, but I might  be miserably wrong, so I apologize right away :o/
Anyways, you do want to have one copy of the song in good quality as well, in addition to an MP3 version?

jason - I am not sure if the lame encoder can be incorporated in MC or not.  but there are instructions on my website on how to incorporate it into sonar.  try those directions and see if they work for MC.  NOTE:  Make sure you have an EXECUTABLE version of LAME, not just the dll file.

many thanks sir. I will try it. So far i have converted to MP3 by exporting my song as a .Wav then opening it in Itunes, where i can then as it to make a MP3 copy.

I use a different (IMHO easier) MP3 converter.... but it's all outside of MC.
