It looks good. but it is a refurb correct ? Not a big fan of refurbished PC's. At least not ones more than a few hundred dollars. this is close to 1100.

My advise is to build one. They are very easy to assemble. Its like building a model car (easier)
I built an Intel I7 4700k 1150 LGA with 16 GB of RAM for under 600 (not including windows 10)
The Mobo is an ASRock Z97 Pro. Its not touch screen but its a solid build.

I buy all my parts from a store here in Boston but they do ship.
Here's an even better Intel I7 with a Mobo bundled/included in the price together for 269.00
    http://cart.microcenter.com/cart.aspx?RedirectUrl=http://www.microcenter.com

Now your left buying a case, RAM, PSU and HD.
See what I mean ? Its ludicrous the prices charged for pre assembled PC's.

    Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
    Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control

If you're going home built an X99 board with a six core 5820K is probably the nicest you can do for reasonable money right now. Only very slightly more than a Skylake build and two cores more. I understand the linked product has a nice packaging though, including a touchscreen.

I would advise against an all in one.
Not always upgradable and not easy to repair.
My friend has older MSI all in one.
    The CPU fan went out.
    Impossible to replace.
He eventually kluged another fan to get it going.
With a desktop, the CPU fan is a 15min job with 10's if not 100's of cooler options.

    Sander is correct, I built an I7-5820K in summer 2015 for $1500 including 32GB, a hi-end case, and water-cooling.
An I7-4790K is more like $700-$800 and will run rings around the MSI all in one.

My current pc is a custom build - has been good to me.
But I'm looking for a touchscreen and it seems "all in one" is the most economical way to do that.
    The specs are surprisingly good.
I wasn't looking for refurbished, but this one had the specs i was searching for.
I'm wondering if a "gaming" all-in-one will make a good DAW.
Is anyone using something like this as their music production (sonar) centerpiece?

If you are into touch, why not get a nice touch monitorand use it with your existing build PC.
When you are ready, build a better PC to go along with the monitor.

I don't think the 23" 3840 x 2160 touchscreen will be usable at full res with Sonar.
Controls will be tiny and hard to read not to mention adjust.
You will have to crank the resolution down.

    This ^^^^

I have a 30" 2560x1600 and I have pretty good eyesight but it borders on too small for me.

    I cannot fathom 23" 3840 x 2160 beign readable at all.

Just to toss a thought in here about monitor pixel density...

I have a 24" monitor with 1920 x 1200 native resolution, which is just about perfect for my eyes.  I could not imagine having a higher resolution screen in this size format.  The higher the resolution, the smaller the text and icons become.  If I went for 2X the pixels in 24", the screen would become 3840 X 2400, and everything would appear to be reduced to 1/2 the size that I see on my current monitor.

So for everything on screen to remain the same size, you would need to double the size of the monitor as you double the pixel density...

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

Thank you, everyone. I think I will buy a 27" multi touch screen at Normal HD.

I got one of the HP all in one 2 years ago and it is fine.  It is basically a laptop, which last a while if you don't abuse them.  I'm happy with it, even tho it isn't my main rig.  Still, the 27 inch touch ought to be excellent.  You don't really get much more with an all n one other than portability - mine fits fine on a rolling stand for GC.

+1 for an Asus X99A. Great bang for the buck.
