Mackie Control MCU Pro Automation read in Sonar X2

Hello,

I just got a MCU pro and playing with it in Sonar X2.
So far no major issue (except with Pro Channel that cannot control multiple channel effects) but I cannot make the Automation Read/Off button turning the "R" button of my tracks On and Off.
I guess this is what it is supposed to do? or am I missing something?
Thanks
Eric

What it does is toggle playback of automation on or off. Now it may not work because since 8.5 the Mackie Control dll for Sonar has not been upgraded to reflect the difference in X1/X2.

Thank you John for your answer.

Well then I guess it does not work (at least for me) since playback automation does not toggle when pressing the Read/Off button of the MCU (and of course I have a track selected).

Can anybody confirm you have the same behavior?
Does anybody know whether Cakewalk has a plan to update the Mackie Control dll (I would also love to be able to fully control Pro Channel with it as toggling between Pro Channel effects on a strip does not currently work)?

    Thanks

I tried it and on mine it doesn't work. They do have plans to update it. Keep in mine that CW also supports the VS 700 which was made for Sonar and it has not been fully updated to X1/X2 yet.

All we can do is submit a request to update the devices that Sonar is suppose to work with.

Thank you John, I'll submit a request to CW support then.
