Madcap - Open Wound
My newest production: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N18I80UsXAs I guess this is progressive rock because song doesn't follow any standard structures and it jumps from style to another many times. :)

This certainly strays from the usual path and is unpredictable to the end. I like songs that take chances, and you've succeeded here. The production is excellent, and the video is well conceived. Kudos!

That was very cool ... very cinematic, well cut, and the story well told.

Most enjoyable! Maybe it's just my short attention span, but I'm always glad to see that folks are still happily thumbing their noses at conventional song structure. I found the video distracting, so I paused it, plugged in my headphones and enjoyed the rest of it with eyes wide shut.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

A very cool and slightly weird video...(Meant as a compliment) I like the production a lot. The guitars sound great and the arrangement was well thought out. It's an impressive work.

I loved the song, but the video not so much. The song, as Bitflipper said, moves around several "genres" in very interesting ways, and is well conceived and well recorded! The piano breakdown inthe middle was a very strong highlight. The video struck me as kind of indulgent and creepy. Sorry, it's clear you put a ton of time into it and from an editing standpoint, it's done very creatively! So I respect your effort in that video, but it struck me as a negative way to show off a pretty cool song. Hopefully, mine is a minority opinion! cheers, -Tom

Panup, Very cool song. Sounds like the modern day Go Go's meets Berlin. Sorry, didn't watch the video, listened a couple times to the song while reading some online info....Not a big music video fan, but the music is really good. Regards

Panup, this is a very captivating piece of art. The girl in this video is very well cast. It remains unpredictable from beginning to end, I think that's what I liked best about it. The piano section is very well done, it is very emotional and fragile. I really appreciate music with so much drama like this, so . . . Madcap is the band and you are the producer ?

> Madcap is the band and you are the producer ? Madcap is a duo. My girlfriend sings & acts on the video and I do all the rest. Baby Lemonade is a big Syd Barrett fan and initially this band was founded to make covers from Syd Barrett tunes. This song is the first original tune from Madcap. It has got more influences from my "ordinary" production style than from Syd Barrett yet he's on the background to whisper that this band's purpose is to make art, not calculated pop. This song represents everything that I would like today's music to be: unpredictable parts, emotions from A to Z and music that comes from creator's mind, not from the loop library.

Bitflipper and Tom, I agree video gets distracting in the middle but story required that girl had to die when she left the well. Story background: girl was bullied in the school for being too silent. She's fearful and in her bad dream all the fears are realized. Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate!

I've got to agree. The video was not matching the (great) music for me. She's a good vocalist but maybe not the best actress to present the song visually. There's no rule that says the artist has to star in the video. I'm also not a fan of repeating video sequences, seems lazy to me. JMO. But again, the song was great.
