Making Install disks from X1 D/L Files

I'm sure this has come up before but I just can't find it. One HD crash and no more files. For some reason my DVD burner will not copy the D/L files onto disk. The error report says something to the affect that the files have been opened and modified making them invalid. ???????

Copy all your install files to another hdisk or DVD.
Copy them all to a single directory and install from there.
BTW it's a royal PITA trying to figure out how to efficiently fit them on to DVDs.

    My experience is :

    Download all installation files.
Extract all files to a separate install folders ie :Folder Sonar x1, Folder Sonar contents, Folder Sonar Dimension Pro and so on.
Once extracted check out the properties of each folder for the size and burn to DVD5 or DVD9, trying to keep the same components on each disk ie Disk 1 Sonar, Disk 2 Dimension pro and so on. (I think you will find Sonarx1 will require a DVD9.)
I find it best not to burn the files as a hole as this may result in CRC errors and not all systems like copying large zipped files/ISO files from a dvd to hd.

Another option if only DVD5 and not a dual layer (DVD9) burner/disk.  You could back up the extracted files by sub ddividing the extracted folders.

When you go to resintall copy all back to a hard drive to install from and delete after installation.

Personally I back up on a DVD and have a spare external hard drive purely for backups of install programs, plugins, reg codes, soundbanks and samples.

    Hope this helps.
