Making money from your music PT 2 is up

This is the meat and potatoes part of the series. Hopefully some of you will find it helpful and be able to put the information to use.

This article focuses on music libraries, a subject that has important to me.  I haven't struck it rich through a music library, but I have made a side income and have had my music bought and played throughout the world through the music library.  Much of the income I made on it, is for work I have already done and in some cases all but forgot about.  It's a nice feeling.

If you sign up as an email subscriber you get a free music library report, which will provide links to several music libraries and instructions how to begin submitting music with them.

Hope you guys find the information useful

Well, even with the small print it was interesting, but actually I have enough problems just getting my chores done now, and I don't have Maids, only Made in China !

I did midi years ago, somehow, I just thought I struggle and try to play it all, well, there is always a second thought about that too.
I'm sorry, did I say that? I guess maybe so.

Hey Spacealf -

Are you proposing the print is too small?  It is the standard size font found on most webpages, but if people feel it's hard to read I can easily resize.

I hear you about the time sink.  Ultimately that's what holds us all back, is investing time.  Some people have amazingly natural gifts, but I suspect most other people have to put in time to get where they are.  Writing for music libraries is certainly a time sink, because you have to produce broadcast quality material, and lots of it, if you want to be successful.

Then there is the question, are you going to partner with someone to produce this material, or do it all yourself? (as you mentioned),  If you do it yourself, you have to write and record ALL the instruments.  Now you have to learn enough about the other instruments to write parts for them and get a believable recording.  It can be overwhelming.  But like anything else, if you want to be successful, you will invest the time.

Making money with music libraries is much more a "sure thing" than having Kei$a record your song and have it be a international hit.  How much money you make on music libraries is going to be based on your skill and dedication.
