Verse 1
All you children listen here
Ain’t gonna’ be no Christmas cheer
Santa’s headed south this year
In an F150 with a case of beer
Forget the gifts and the tree
There he goes in a plain white Tee
He looks pissed, not jolly
I’m guessin’ that’s his last chimney

Chorus
Man it sucks to be Santa
The kids, they drive me insane
I’ll grab a Coke in Hotlanta
And skip town on the next plane

Verse 2
I saw Santa kissin’ mom
So did that private eye named Tom
Turned out like a bad sitcom
When Mrs. C. dropped the bomb
She got half of the pole
He settled for a lump of coal
That mistletoe took its toll
As old St. Nick dug his hole

Verse 3
The elves were unionized
Claimed they were victimized
The labor strike was publicized
Said Claus ain’t civilized
Then there was that lawsuit
When the reindeer killed the old coot
Grandma really was a hoot
But her family sued for the loot

So, I stopped believing in Santa when I got all rational like, but I closed my eyes and enjoyed this song like it was my first holiday.

    Loved that guitar solo too.

    Well done!

Interesting... Funny song, nicely done. That change from 4/4 to 3/4 in the hook threw me, but I got used to it.

Great stuff, even if it was in the bargain bin from last year.

Kinda hard not to smile when listening.  And the obligatory guitar solo title was spot-on.

Ha Ha - the solo....  I had only generated it in BIAB as a place holder but the more Dave and I heard we thought "Why not just leave it?" So, we did.

I liked the song and lyrics, amusing but not ott. For me the guitar came in a fraction late (delayed) and slow for the solo, but then I am not a producer (just ask Wookiee - I can't do anything in the studio), and I did really enjoy the solo itself.
