Managing Multisamples with SFZ

Craig Anderton has a good article on the basics and advantages of the SFZ multisample format in the April 2008 issue of EQ Magazine. Thanks, Craig!

...I've found it to be a tremendously useful format for creating sophisticated multisample collections that can play back in a variety of instruments.

I thought that quite a ways back

It's no secret. You can do alot within other formats but get a full harddrive storing the results.

With sfz the samples are not wrapped with the instruction set. Of course if you never get creative with the set it would not matter. But for me anyway getting kinky is half the fun of using Dpro/rapture. It's not that with out editing you can't make music. But it does open up your options in a big way.
