Managing User Created Plugin Presets for plugs with no user library? Folders?

Okay... it's me again. Sorry but this is one that's eluded me for a while and now that I'm mucking around with Sonitus stuff I'm realising this could get real messy real fast.
 
Most of the new plugs I use all seem to have their own internal user preset system where you can organize things in various ways like create folder and directories. It's usually a pain to learn but at least the ability is there.
 
For a lot of the older plugs/stuff that came with Cake (and let's use Sonitus as an example) I'm not sure how to save and organize my own presets.
 
Example: When I save a preset for Sonitus EQ or Compressor it saves fine but the preset drops itself in amongst the default presets. It's just one long list of stuff when I click the "preset" dropdown. I would very much like to have little folders/sub folders in those areas.
 
I'm guessing this is an issue that has driven people mad for much longer than I've been doing this stuff so I'd just like to pick everyone's brain on how they get around this or, as usual, if I am missing something simple in the default Cakewalk Preset thingie that shows up at the top of most plugin windows.
 
What I have been currently doing is just labeling EVERYTHING I create with the preamble "Beeps" so that it all lands in one series alphabetically and I know I am the one that created it. That's been fine for me just trying things out on the minimal projects I've done but I'm getting serious now and want to sort things by project/style/need/whatever.
 
I do not want to end up with REAMS of "Beeps - Song X - GUitar Effect y - Version 6" when I click the preset dropdown of something like a Sonitus plugin. Know what I mean?
 
Perhaps I have been spoiled by the elaborate preset schemes of things like GR5, TH2, BFD, AD, etc (but to be perfectly honest I hate ALL of those program's schemes and having to learn them individually every time I snag/study a new program but at least I can create folders/subfolders or tag or whatever).
 
So... what's the trick with this? Is there one?
 
This is a casual thread and not an emergency. Just looking to see what's up with this because I KNOW ya'll have had to figure this out. I'm sure it's simple.
