Manchester Synth Rack Solo Button Behavior

Given the following:
1. A synth folder with the primary output.
2. An original midi track archived to preserve the original.
3. A clone of the original midi track in order to modify it, NOT archived.
4. Solo the synth using the synth rack solo button.

The result of the above is:
1. The synth rack solo button remains greyed.
2. The global solo button shows green.
3. The active tracks in the folder are all soloed, i.e. the midi clone and the primary output.

Now the synth rack solo button is effectively non-functional as it is greyed while the synth is in a soloed state.
The above behavior resumes after any or all of the soloed tracks are unsoloed. It seems to me that specifically
with regard to soloing a synth, an archived midi track should be effectively equivalent to having been deleted.

So the question is, should the synth rack solo button behave this way?
