Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble with these?  On my system they aren't doing anything -- signal passes right through unaltered, no meters moving or anything, and I've crashed Sonar 3 times trying to use them.  So, nothing to report here yet.  Fortunately, my other Waves plugins still work.

    Initial Impressions...

    Interesting..

    Like the Reverb....Bricasti Modeled...

Tone Shaper was a CPU hit...

    Others were ok...

All in all...initial (10 minute impression...it's ok...would have to work more with
them to say WOW or not...but as far as presets go nothing spectacular...
some were interesting...but nothing made me go...WOW...but that's just me...

Update to my previous post:  after trying the plugs in a new project, they magically started working.  Hmm ...

So far, I'm liking the reverb a lot.  Sounds better than other Waves reverbs ... will be comparing this to some of the other nice reverbs that have come out recently.

and,  like Yorolpal....I'll probaly have to wait till the next extra super sale for this..
which, for this, probably won't be for while....at least it will give me time to work
with the demo's and see if I'm going to buy them or not....HA...whom I kidding...

These are some interesting plugins ... nice that the MM series seems more versatile as opposed to the other Artist Sig plugs which are meant to be instrument-specific.

That being said, right now I'm seeing these more as time-savers than anything really new.  The reverb is good, but is it clearly better than, say, Valhalla?  So far, my ears are saying no.  What makes the MM reverb cool is the integrated compressor and other effects.  But unless you're really in a hurry, these can be added to any reverb separately.

The other plugs are similarly well put together for common tasks, but could probably be replicated with other tools you already have.  I was able to do similar things with Waves' V-series EQs as the MM EQ did, for instance.  Same with the Triple-D.  The distortion box wasn't my cup of tea, and the Tone Shaper, while useful, didn't wow me but I did have some fun with the MM Delay plugin.  It includes a nice reverb, so this may be the best value of the bunch.  Looks like the plugs aren't available separately yet, though.

Anyway, it's always good to have new tools out there. Kudos to Waves for keeping 'em coming.

    Cheers,
    Eddie

EDIT:  after playing more with the EQ, I must say that whatever curves he's implemented in there, they do result in some good sounds.  This plug is a winner in my book.  Not that it's better than everything else, but if you could only have one "character" EQ, this would be a good choice.

Yup...I went to Tony's site (plugin discounts) logged into my account and put the MM sig in my cart.  And then...well...that was it.  There was no "continue to payment" button from there and nothing I hovered over would let me select anything.  In fact the whole site shows up kind of sketchy on my office laptop.  So...I couldn't (as yet) purchase.  I left a phone message with Tony and Im sure he'll get it straightened out.  It's probably something I wasn't seeing or doing.

Anyone else have any issues with their site?

His new site is still a little flakey ... the "next" button is invisible in IE but you can see it in Safari (for one).  Try hovering over the lower-right portion of the Summary window and your cursor may indicate the hidden link to the next page.  You should be able to finish up the transaction from there.  Good luck!

BTW, I'm liking these plugins ... I do believe they may be some of the most useful of the Artist series.  Definitely worth a demo at least.

Welp...got em purchased, downloaded, installed and scanned and although I only had time to pull up the guis to make sure they were there and haven't listened to them yet here's what I've already found out regarding my system.  At first I was loading a single plug into the FX bin of my Trillian audio track, checking it out, looking at the preset list, closing the gui, deleting it from the FX bin and then trying to load another into the same bin.  Everytime I tried to instantiate the second plug Sonar crashed.  I'd choose to close Sonar, log off and relog on, and reopen Sonar and try again.  I repeated these steps three times each time with the same result.  So, on the forth time I tried just loading every single plugin individually into the FX bin one right after the other. This, amazingly, worked fine.  No probs at all.  That's all I had time for but I'll check it out more this evening.  Next I'll try to add a plug to an FX bin, delete it, and then add another into a different FX bin and see if that crashes Sonar.  I just love a puzzle...don't you??

Are you using the plugins on a bounced audio track or using Trillian & the plugs together in real time? Maybe try stopping the audio engine before deleting or adding?
No problems or crashing here, also been importing / exporting fx chains with multiple instances w/o any problems either.

No...I have a template project that contains all my "startup" instruments.  I just picked the Trillian audio track's FX bin because it's near the top of the screen in track view.  There's no midi or audio info on any of the tracks and the transport was never running.

    Hi everybody,

I didn't pay attention for this Waves MM signature serie plugins and finally, they puzzle me but I have to go on travel business and I will not have enough time to demo them and I'm afraid that the introductory price at Plugin discount will be over; So let me ask you briefly your opinion :

What do you think now about these plugs ? Are they useful indeed or, as Eddy TX said, -except from extra functions- can they be replicated with our other numerous plugins ?

I am very intrigued with the reverb (?) It is said to be Bricasti modeled : Can we actually get the subtle richness and depht sonic qualities which recall Bricasti (I was very impressede by the You Tube Bricasti M7 videos (particularly on voices) or is it finally a common convo reverb with some extra functions. For those who possess the new Waves IR-live or even the Relab 480XL (except that this is an algo), is it comparable concerning the sound ?

YOROLPAL : Do the Manny Marroquin plugs behave better with Sonar ?

Thanks very much for your attention.

Thanks Strikingly... and yorolpal for the feedback. Happy to know that everything works... So those plugs seem to have a good value and useful for mixing
Does the verb have this instant gratifying lush sound on lead vocals ?
