Manually changing grid resolution turns off Smart Grid?

Hiya -

Just finding that in the latest update, that if you have Smart Grid turned on, it automatically turns OFF when you manually change the grid resolution....

Is there an option to keep Smart Grid on, irrespective of any manual changes you might make to the resolution?

Killing work flow! Please help!

Many thank y'all.

I noticed this a while ago, and thought I had mis-clicked somehow. I'm not sure it was intended but I kind of prefer it. I don't often have Smart Grid enabled deliberately, and when I manually set a value, I usually want it to to stick.

Like Brundlefly, I prefer the way it is now. However, I have keyboard shortcuts set up for both Snap on/off and Smart Grid on/off, which really speeds up my workflow in general.

Yeah. I've had the numeric keypad setup for years to represent the different resolutions, snap on/off, to/by, because I zoom in and out a lot (when you want smart grid to auto-adjust),  but when you manually change the resolution, and then go back to zooming in and out, no smart grid. I've assigned the decimal key in the numeric pad to toggle smart grid on/off which helps, but still adds an extra step.

Has anyone seen if there is a setting soewhere in preferences where you could assign how it behaves?
That'd be handy and a win for both camps!
