Many thanks to those who listen and comment...

I posted one I remixed recently, and it was well received. I really appreciate everyone's comments on my classic cover.

I am posting what I think was one of my best colabs? It's really an amazing tune? I wish I could take more credit for it? But the credit goes to Jim... He's an incredible song writer, musician, and performer...

I'm just the lead singer who interpreted his wonderful song.

I don't think it got the press it deserved when he posted it originally? Jim is extremely talented... And when I say extremely? I mean, "I would be honored" to have my name associated with his in any way possible... Much respect to Mr. J. Yoyoyo...

People may have heard this? But I'm not sure they appreciate the genius that went in to it (and by that I am in no way commenting on my performance, but rather on Jim's talent as a song writer...) I think that "the song?" Is different, and special? And his creation is praise worthy... I was lucky to be able to contribute.

Very nice construction on this song. I like the instrumentation and textures throughout. Salsas are always quite interesting to me, especially when a lot is going on in its creativity. Oh, and your vocals were not spot on, but, maybe better. Luck is over rated you know. You should say it was an honor to be able to contribute. Great song all and very nicely done. By the way Robbie, I hope you had a feather in you hat when you sang this one!!

It's all performed, there's nothing sampled? So there may be some parts that float/are less than perfect? But we did the best we could... It's not as good as something someone else did? But as far as original works go? it rawks pretty hard ;-) , thanks for listening and for commenting. *and according to my reading of that book? You'd better start loving me? "harder?/more?" I'm not feeling the love? And the way I read the book? YOU are supposed to LOVE me... Make me feel it.

I remember this song well?  The first time I heard it, I thought that it was a minor masterpiece?  I remember it getting very good remarks from listeners the first time?  This is one of the best sung songs by you that I've yet heard?  I'm not surprised by the talent of James, as he's one of the bright lights on this forum.  I wish there was a venue that you could be heard by millions of people, Robbie, but are you willing to learn a new language!  Please don't think that I'm hiding my true feelings behind question marks; it's just that you've taught me a new way of communication?

Beautiful tune and performed well by both of you.  Seemed a bit muddy at times but that could be me.  I'm feeling muddy!  Again, very nice performances and songwriting.

Seriously, this song should win a Grammy!  I've listened to it about 5 times in a row, and it just gets better and better.  Robbie, your voice sounds so much better when you're singing as yourself and not someone else.  I have this page bookmarked.

You guys are too kind :-) Thanks very much, again did not edit on this one, just comped it on in. This style is smack in the middle of my wheelhouse, I really enjoy doing stuff like Eagles, CSN, etc... The style of the music and the style of the singing fits in with the style of much of my original music. Thanks to all, Freddy, Stevec, Lynn, John, THE PUG! Nice to hear from you all.

Nice lead vox and harmonies! You sing with passion. Reminds me of Smoky Robinson. I like the horn parts too. Clean sounding recording. Nice dynamic range. Simply nothing bad to say about it.

Thanks pastor! I'm going to have to take notes on what I did here, my mixes are never received this well

I think what you may have mistaken for horns was the ebow? There's only electric guitars, the organ and bass and vocals. The ebow, if you're a guitar player and don't have one, you should... It's a cool little device you hold in your hand in lieu of a pick. And instead of picking notes, it has a magnet in it and it "excites" the string causing it to vibrate. Depending on how you hold it, and where, you can get a wide variety of sounds from an electric guitar ranging from whistling sustain, to horns to flutes or clarinets. It's really a cool gizmo. Watch him make it sound like a bagpipe...

This style is not in my wheelhouse so to speak, but I echo the voice of the group, masterful!  I loved the harmonies:)

Many people here who I consider to be musical geniuses who I've had the distinct pleasure "and honor" to work with. And I am thankful for them all... Oh ****, I left out TIMIDI! Thanks Rimmy :-) It is theatrical. Jim (James Youmans) deserves all of the credit. I'm a singer, and I enjoyed contributing, but he is the real deal... He wrote the song? Did the mix, all of the instrumentation, all of the BGV. And he inspired my LV. My high honor to work with people like Jim and others.

He's done some really good stuff with other singers too! Great stuff... The common point is Jim. The Yoyofactory... I am a strong believer... I think he's under appreciated. A very talented writer, musician, producer, engineer. Jim is the whole package.

    Bump!
    Remember Robbie?
Used to put a question mark at the end of every sentence?
Haven't seen him in a while?
    Could be a little harsh?
    Pretty good singer though?
