Mapping CC data

I know I should know this... is there a way to change, say, the modwheel CC to be 11 rather than 1?  I know I can edit the midi event info after the event, I'd like it to be mapped all the time.  In an ideal world, I'd love to be able to switch between 1, 11 and 83 easily, and then the data that is recorded corresponds to the value I select.

I'm using an m-audio Keystation 88es, btw.  Thanks for any help!

This tutorial might help. http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2078577. It's for Cakewalk's A-PRO series controllers, but i'm sure you could apply it to yours. Or there may be someone who knows how to do it off the top if their head. I've never had to try so i can't help.

He has a period at the end of the link. Try this one.

Thanks for the link - unless I've misunderstood, this seems be a tutorial for mapping the A-500 pro with its own software, and setting up Transport controls?  Don't think the first part of the tutorial applies generally.

I can do it within the keyboard itself, but it's a little fiddly.

    Did you ever solve this?

Ive wondered the same thing for a while, quickly map mod wheel to various CC data on the fly. Im sure it must be doable.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

You need to read up on ACT and control surfaces. I use a Kurzweil PC2 as a controller keyboard and it has four sliders in addition to the main volume slider. Using ACT Learn I have assigned these to control the volume faders on the first four tracks of the Console. Once you understand how it's done, assigning more controllers is quick and easy.
