March to the Gates

Here is my newest.

I actually started a different one last weekend, worked on it off and on through the week until finally throwing it away yesterday and starting this one. Needless to say, I am much happier with this one.

I would like to see your work behind some video, which I think would make it seem more apropos.

This has a nice quality to it, but seemed all the action was off to the sides too much.

I personally enjoy getting a little action on the side? I think the strings sound incredible. Is this EW?

    Hi Ron.

Great to see you're still making these mini masterpieces.

Very atmospheric and it has a sense of drama that i liked.

Well up to you very high standards as always.

    Great work Ron.

Ron you certainly know how to evoke a feeling with your music, and, for me at least, this piece felt dark and foreboding.  I'll second James' comment about a vid to go with it.  As always: extremely well done.

Your music sure has the means for evoking emotions.  This dark dramatic piece had me turning on all the lights in the room.  :>)

    Good stuff!

Very nicely done.   Great orchestration and mix.   Also loved the percussion.

Ron.... are you sure you aren't in reality James Newton Howard?

You get such a great depth of sound.

    Good job as always!

I especially liked the percussion on this and the brass.

Excellent Ron. Very brooding. Makes me think "we don't want to go there... but we have to." great ending. It's always interesting to see how you pull out of these pieces.
