Weird thing:  when I listen through my headphones, I don't hear the vocal track (just it's reverb track) and then when I listen on my speakers I get the whole thing.  What could cause this?

If your name is Josh, Josh you are one of the better song writers here.  I like your voice alot as well, very honest voice.  The subject of marriage has a pretty big audience.  Good choice of subject matter.

    I give this track 3 thumb's up.

I don't understand the physics of it - but I did put a binaural pan on the mastering project phase...I was just trying it to see what happened. Probably that's what did it.

Thank you very much eph221! Yep, I'm Josh! I'm gonna mess with it more. This morning it was about 1/3 of the way done and I spent all day and night on it. So, I know it's not done, but I just need some suggestions about what to look for.

I'm hearing a "Hey" type thing going on about halfway through like a special effect thing, if that's what the above poster is referring to.  Overall, I like the song.  Your voice is good and I like the arrangement.  My only nit is occasionally the voice goes off key.  No biggie though.

Yeah, a very nice upbeat song here Joshua

I won't comment on the mix or sound as I am listening on my laptop speakers, which really do lack bass, as one would expect. But, even so, it still sounded pretty good to my ears.

    cheers

This is a really interesting song, Josh.  I liked it.  Kind of had a U2 vibe to it.  From a structural point it felt to me like you had some really cool stuff going on in the choruses, but it ended too soon.  Just my opinion but I would have liked to see you carry that further.  Nice work though.

Thank you guys - I like the ideas in the song, where I think I'm struggling is the vocal layering/pitch and harmony parts I think make sense. I'm not super strong in harmonies, so if someone could comment on that, I would appreciate it. Also, I still feel like the mix is hurting somehow, but I'm not sure where exactly.
