Maschine 2.0 & Komplete 9 software question???
I just recently got Maschine Mikro MK2 and have had Komplete 9 for a few months. During the installation process of Maschine's 2.0 software, I mistakingly installed the Komplete Selection which I've learned isn't necessary as I do have Komplete 9. Currently, I am unable to view/access the K9 synths, Battery 4, Kontakt etc....to show up in the 2.0 browser to select and use them with Mikro.
I went into Control Panel to uninstall Komplete Selection, but it doesn't show up as that name......it shows as NI Maschine Factory Library 2.0.....I didn't want to uninstall that as there might be other sounds not included in K9 and also wanted to confirm this is the correct way to uninstall. I'd lke to use whatever content that's included in the 2.0 software that's NOT in K9. (I've posted this Q in the NI forum, but there doesn't seem to be much activity going on there).

Check the "programs and features" section to see if there is an uninstall option for just the "Selection". That would leave everything else in tact. Just a thought...

Make sure you run NI Service Center and get ALL the updates for Komplete products. Many of the main NI apps and plugins received a point upgrade to make them Maschine 2.0 compatible. that could be a reason they aren't showing up, just sayin.

All the NI products are up to date (per Service Ctr.)......just reading up on this issue, I'm wondering if my NI VST's are not being seen in Maschine 2.0's scanner?? I have a seperate NI folder (inside my Cakewalk 3rd party VST folder) where only my 3rd party VST's reside (haven't changed anything in this setup when installing NI's stuff), but possibly Maschine's just not seeing it...... Also, I found out that there are 2 seperate libraries that come with the 2.0 software: Factory Library and Komplete Selection. So, my OP isn't right as I've actually installed it correctly (in not installing Komplete Selection to begin with)......that's why I can't see Komplete Selection listed anywhere in Control Panel. I'll check up on the VST path thing tonight and report back.....

I have Komplete 8, Komplete 9 Ultimate both installed. Bought Maschine Micro which only had Maschine 1.8 software installed all Maschine and it's library on top of my Komplete and have no issues. I did have to point Maschine software to my plugin folder and rescan for it to see my plugins. I have not upgraded to Maschine 2.0 software yet. sounds like a VST path problem if Sonar or other DAW stuff can see the VST plugins but Maschine cannot. sorry I can't be more help.

MC, I'm also thinking this is exactly what's going on (VST path problem).....I'm also getting "could not find plugin" error on various sounds I've tried to use. Do you have any recommendations on Maschine Expansions? (I practically like all kinds of genre's and especially anything melodic).......I have a couple of e-vouchers I can use.

GREAT! (woohoo I helped solve something hahaha!). NI had a sale last year 9 Maschine expansions for $99 and I couldn't resist - at that time I think there were only 12 NI Maschine expansion packs. When I started with Maschine last year it was nice to have a lot of expasnsions to tear apart, inspect and play around with. I honestly don't use the expansions all that much, if ever now. There only tends to be 1 groove, or particular sound in a pack that I like. I tend toward the darker expansions packs. I don't have a particular recommendation. Readlly listen to the demo's of the expansion packs on NI's site - what you hear is pretty much what your getting, sometimes a bit more often not. Maschine importing my own samples or NI Battery / Heavyocity Damage that's what I tend to do. Pull up Omnispehere in Maschine and create a stab or a pad , sample it, assign to a Maschine pad and tap away. great fun.

Yeah, I'm a happy customer......now that I can see all the other K9 stuff. Triggering Battery 4 should be a blast and I have a bit of a learning curve ahead!! Do you know how to map/trigger Addictive Drums to the Maschine pads? I'm listening to some of the expansions right now and will most likely get a couple. With 2 vouchers, I can get a couple of packs for pretty cheap.......

Additive Drums into Maschine and assign to pads........ Uh I dont' know, I don't use Additive Drums though I think I have them. BUT. Someone ELSE knows how to do it and created a video posted to youtube!!! maybe this will help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcQ-iEd3kWg"Bringing Addictive Drums into Native Instruments Maschine (Pad Mode) " posted Feb 16, 2014 so failrly new in youtube/software. that should steer you in the right direction if not giving you the exact answer your looking for.

I like Helios Ray. I don't think I have or have heard Marble Rims.
