Master of Puppets cover

Hey guys, I'm back! with another cover.  Sorry I haven't been around lately, I had to take a few months off for work.  Anyway, I just completed another project.  This time It's Metallica's "Master of Puppets".  All the guitars, bass and mixing are done by me and the drums by my buddy Ray.

I remember all of you guys telling me last time I posted to put vocals in my songs...well, I did and not only do I have vocals but I got the BEST to do it!   take a listen and you'll see...

Any questions or comments, please feel free to post!

Master of Puppets

    ::headbangs furiously::

    I liked this alot, as much as I like James Hetfield though- I would like to hear somebody else's interpretation... for better or worse.  Maybe I'll ask Dave Mustaine, he lives down the street from me.

    Btw, thats some tight rhythm and lead playing.

    Wow, impressive!

    That's what Puppets would've sounded like if it had been recorded in 1996 (from the rather 'pongy', close-miked drum sound [one of the finer points of the nineties IMO]). A small amount of short 'room' (no predelay) 'verb on the whole drum kit would probably make it blend a little better with rest of the track.

    But incredible all around, man! Nice work on the solo (one of the hardest in the Metallica catalog IMO). And the vocals? Scarily like James Hetfield...

    This sounds really good to me, you must have found an accapella track of Hetfield.
    You`ll get more people listening if you upload to soundclick, fileden takes so long to stream the song.

    for the devil sends the beast with wrath.....
    because he knows the time is short.....
    let him who hath understanding.....
    reckon the number of the beast.....
    for it is a human number...
    it`s number is.....

    So if JESUS rose from the DEAD
    Does that mean he`s the ORIGINAL ZOMBIE?

    y'know, the thing about Metallica is they are a great band with a crap drummer (not to mention his personality...), so when i saw 'em at Download a few years ago, and Lars had injured himself, we were all made up! So we got to see Metallica with Dave Lombardo and Joey Jordinson behind the skins, and it was great! Everything in time...

    anyhow, this is a great cover, it sounds almost exactly like the original though, which is kinda a bit pointless, in some ways. no doubt that you are both great players. It'll be good to hear AJFA though, WITH BASS! LOL!

    anyhow faultless playing and production!

    Oh yeah - this is an excellent cover

    Great playing throughout - especially the solo passage.

    PS - I agree with Alan re Soundclick, this took me well over two minutes to download (it was worth it though!)

    Sorry to dredge this older thread up but ... wow!

    Did you actually get James Hetfield in to do the vocals? Well done that man!
