MasterWriter software offer

I received a Cakewalk email stating exclusive offer to Cakewalk users for 50% off 1 or 2 year subscriptions to MasterWriter software, however the price off shown (50%) is the same price special offered by MasterWriter directly on their site, i.e., to anyone buying it, not necessarily exclusively to Cakewalk Sonar user's? 
My question would be is there a promo-code, or some other way to actually get 50% off the price already offered by MasterWriter directly, as suggested by email, i.e., something that is exclusive to Cakewalk Sonar users, or is this only meant to inform Cakewalk users of the offer MasterWriter is currently promoting to everyone, (so not exclusively Cakewalk users)? 
(In any case it may be a worthwhile tool to try for a year, at that price)
