Mastering Tips

I just received an email from DiscMakers.
They have a free DVD that I thought may be of interest to some.

Be aware that Discmakers are not doing this as a public service. Their objective is to add contacts to their marketing database. Don't forget to un-check the "ok to spam me" option, and hope that your wishes will be honored by all the other businesses they sell your name to.

Yes, I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to such things. Yes, I am aware that the company is widely regarded as being on the level. But my overflowing mailboxes, both physical and virtual, are testament to the reality that is the basis of my cynicism.

Still...it might be informative, and I already get junk mail from them, so what the heck...

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

..."I am a bit of a cynic when it comes to such things"...

And there is good reason for this attitude. But, I must say that I have recieved several dvd's from discmakers in the past, and a few magazines, and they have all been very helpful and informative. And free.

You can go into the first spam e-mail and delete your link, it is a pain, but it works. They put something out every three or four months, and fifty percent of it is of no value to me, but I grab the ones that might be interesting. I have a hard time passing up the word free...

Yeah...I get stuff in the mail and also by email from Discmakers.

They have some informative stuff.  It's so easy to delete an email... and the same for the snail mail..... click or toss.... it's gone.

Anything that might help me improve.... I'll check it out.

    I hear ya Bit.
I have a trash email account set up that I use when sites like this ask me for my email address.
I check it like once a week just in case there's something there of some interest. (thats how I found this)
After a quick look-see I just select all and delete.
And yes of course I always make sure that I un-check the little "don't send me" box.

I know you weren't directing you statement toward me, and only meant it as a friendly heads up.
    Thanks.

Yeah, I bit and gave them my info to get the DVD.  By the way, you can opt out from getting spam from them by un-checking the little eensie weensie box above the "Get Your FREE DVD" button.

I used Discmakers a while back for a CD project, so I get their stuff anyway.  And, I might add that they do produce "pro" quality material.
